Tiger is probably guilty of infidelity (is he the first man to do this?). But, he is now protecting his wife so she doesn't end up in jail. He's still the man!

Todd, I agree entirely. If this incident was about anybody else, a normal working guy, probably like you and I, would the cops be going nuts trying to interview him for hitting a tree and a fire hydrant? I think not.

Everybody that's married, or in a relationship for that matter, has had a disagreement with their spouse. This may be all that this is about. So WHAT!!! Leave the guy and his wife alone, and let them work whatever is going on out in private. They are entitled to that, at a bare minimum.

Media... leave him alone. Stop the feeding frenzy that this has become. As Todd said above... mind your own business.

My wishes to Tiger & Elin that they are allowed to work through this privately.

The only time it is any business of ours if a "famous person" cheats on their spouse, is if that person is constantly preaching to us from a bully pulpit about how pristine their values & ethics are. Then, it's fair game to call them out if they are found to be violating those supposed pristine values & ethics. Otherwise, none of our business. Period.

Leprechaun, you're an idiot. Of course the cops would be all over a regular person for hitting a tree and a fire hydrant. In fact, we would have already been issued a ticket and a court date for destruction of city property. Any accident that happens on a public roadway resulting in bodily injury SHOULD be investigated. All this boo-hoo'ing for Woods confounds me; if he weren't Tiger Woods, his ass would have been sitting in JAIL before he'd even sobered up, end of story.

This is ridiculous - he hasn't been proven to have done anything. The police denied TMZ reporting about the medical records.

There isn't even proof about the girl he supposedly bonked - she's fully denying it. When did the National Inquirer become legit? Does that mean all those pictures of multi-headed babies and aliens they used to publish are true, too?

It's crazy how people get judged in the court of public opinion, where you're guilty until proven innocent - and even then you're still kind of guilty, anyway.

He admitted to cheating on his wife. He waited until after the FHP closed its criminal case before he admitted to doing wrong. The FHP should re-open the case and unfortunately arrest his wife for domestic voilence since she damaged his car and caused the injuries that hender him from playing this weekend.

It is a tit for a tat. If a male would have done this all of this we all would have been screaming to lock him up.

First, I`m not saying this is true but for all we know Mrs. Woods is suffering from severe post-partum depression. She believes he has cheated on him which may not be true but she believes it to be true. They were arguing about her belief that he was cheating and she went after him with a 7 iron. Retreat being the better option at the moment he was getting the he!! out of dodge and did so most unsafely. Her minor break with reality was over when she saw he was hurt, she helped save him, they are now working on repairing the marital damage. Conversely he might have really cheated on her but that would still not give her an excuse to go after him with a 7 iron let alone anything else. I think there was some kind of heated argument and he was rushing away but still.....

Bottom line..... it is none of our business. He`ll pay for the damages he caused and I hope they get help.

        Kelcy,

I am going to have to agree with you on this. First of all for someone to be reading this and writing comments but then saying leave the family alone is a dope. There is no proof that he cheated however I do think it is clear that she went after him with a golf club considering the facts. I think tiger is protecting his wife at this point because even if he did cheat he has not committed a crime...her on the other hand, by beating his face and going after him with a golf club could put her in jail. So whether he cheated or not...cudo's to him for protecting his wife.

If I did something like this and then refused to talk to the police, I would be talking from a jail cell. Tiger obviously thinks he is above the law since he is so rich & famous. It's well past time for him to come clean. I think his endorsements should be canceled until he earns them back.

Kobe took a similar popularity and sponsor "hit" after his dalliance, and now look at him! Anything Tiiger says can and will be used against him, so keep it quiet Tiger. Buy your wife an Escalade whose airbag is programmed to activate!!!!

2late2matter: First of all, Kobe was alleged to have forced himself on the girl, and secondly, an airbag is supposed to deploy only under certain conditions, say, a head-on collision at a speed limit over 35 mph. I highly doubt Tiger's Escalade was blowing down his driveway at even 10 mph, let alone 35.

Did you see the pictures of the front-end damage? You cannot do that at 10 MPH. Any crash that would destroy the front-end that badly would cause the airbag to deploy.
