Oil prices should be based on supply and demand. When demand stays steady or even declines, the oil companies simply cut back on production with the good old politician's blessings.
Nothing will ever change in this regard as long as the politicians have their back pockets open.
EVERYONE KNOWS::::::::::: The price of gas has to go up!!!!!!!! Otherwise,, How can they pay for the Gulf oil spill................... THAT COMES OUT OF YOUR POCKET PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd like to know how they come up with these "surveys". Two weeks ago gas was $2.59 here in WV. Overnight it shot up to $2.85. A week later it dropped to $2.75, and settled in a couple of days ago at $2.79. Any way you look at it that's a 20 cent hike. 2 cents my ass!
Seems the surveys are nothing more then oil company PR- gas in SW took over a month to go down from $2.71 to $2.59 and went back up to $2.69 in one day- as usual goes down pennies at time and jumps up $.05 to $.10 in a matter of hours
Gasoline prices have nothing to do with supply and demand. The moron speculators on Wall Street are keeping prices high as always. The country is sinking and they could care less as long as they make their millions off the poor in this country. Our government sits on their butts and does nothing to these people. I for one am staying home this summer as they can stick their oil where the sun does not shine.
Went up $.10 on Saturday in SE WI. $2.69 to $2.79.
