I watch PBS. And what I am talking about is your separation of Democrats from Republicans with regards to corruption. Get a clue. Don't be so entrenched. There is PLENTY of blame to both parties.

With unemployment edging up to 10%,a rise in delinquent credit card,home loans the clowns in D.C. are going to start looking to take this money and put it where it will do the least good for the average American. I'm sure Lady Barney Frank,will try to funnel some to his "buddy" at Fannie&Freddie" because that is something he seems to excel at! Maybe Chris[I am a snake] Dodd will make a payment to Hair Club for Men! We could send it to Hammas or send it to the United Nations so they can piss it away!The last thing this bunch is going to do is anything for the people of this country that ponied up the money to begin with.Maybe,buy their own newspaper to trumpet all the good they are doing......not!!!

I say not to give 25,000 dollars to Repub Senator Ensigns mistress or 9,000 to fly Rep Gov Sanford to his mistresses house. Oh wait, we already did.

Even Warren Buffet backs a second stimulus for economy. No politician can say they don't know where to find it now.

Here's a question that burns me up. If our economy was tanking so bad, why in hell did Congress give themselves another raise last time around? Talk about misappropriation. I say We The People garnish all their wages for an even bigger stimulus.

They keep a straight face proposing this kind of thing because Big Media is behind them and against the working people of America and they can get away with anything.

The reason for the ethics problem is this, and always remember it. The Democrats never have to perform better than the worst any Republican ever did. That is the standard of Democrat ethics. Which is probably an oxymoron in it's self. To fix the problem we need to fix Big Media. BIG MEDIA = BAD FOR AMERICA We should post this message at every opportunity. If you want to find the problem, look at Big Media.

They are either owned by the Democrat party or they are both owned by a third party. Could be George Soros or a foreign government. Nothing else makes any sense because these people can not be this incompetent. George Soros has publicly said his goal is to change the way the world is governed and all of his billions are much less important than that. That was his highest priority. I saw the end of the interview on Bloomberg a few weeks ago.

"The government has tens of billions of dollars left in the eye-popping $700 billion bank bailout fund created last fall, prompting a debate in Congress over what to do with it. ........The Government Accountability Office, the nonpartisan investigative arm of Congress, estimated on Thursday that the government has about $328 billion left in the fund that hasn't been spent or legally committed."

Government officials rationale for the bail out:

• Stabilize the economy: "We must... avoid a continuing series of financial institution failures and frozen credit markets that threaten American families' financial well-being, the viability of businesses both small and large, and the very health of our economy."
• Improve liquidity: "These bad loans have created a chain reaction and last week our credit markets froze – even some Main Street non-financial companies had trouble financing their normal business operations. If that "situation were to persist, it would threaten all parts of our economy".
• Comprehensive strategy: "We must now take further, decisive action to fundamentally and comprehensively address the root cause of this turmoil. And that root cause is the housing correction which has resulted in illiquid mortgage-related assets that are choking off the flow of credit which is so vitally important to our economy. We must address this underlying problem, and restore confidence in our financial markets and financial institutions so they can perform their mission of supporting future prosperity and growth."
• Immediate and significant: "This troubled asset relief program has to be properly designed for immediate implementation and be sufficiently large to have maximum impact and restore market confidence. It must also protect the taxpayer to the maximum extent possible, and include provisions that ensure transparency and oversight while also ensuring the program can be implemented quickly and run effectively."
• Broad impact: "This troubled asset purchase program on its own is the single most effective thing we can do to help homeowners, the American people and stimulate our economy."

The TARP is needed NOW: supports the very health of our economy, situation were to persist, it would threaten all parts of our economy, turmoil, restore confidence in our financial markets and financial institutions, implemented quickly and run effectively, stimulate our economy, to name a few bullets in support of the bail out.

Yet, a little over 50% of the funding has been used? You have to be kidding me !!!! Sure sounds similiar to the President's Stimulus Package where only about 10% of the $787B has been released.

Yep, the Administration is doing well on its legislation to recover our financial market and stimulate the economy.

Rep. Barney Frank, the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, has come up with a proposal to spend any TARP profits before they can be returned to the taxpayers. Last Friday, Frank introduced the “TARP for Main Street Act of 2009,” a bill that would take profits from the program and immediately redirect them toward housing proposals favored by Frank and some fellow Democrats.

In exchange for receiving TARP money, financial institutions were required to hand over shares of preferred stock that paid a dividend for the government. In theory, if a financial institution paid the dividend faithfully, and then repaid the TARP money, then the government would turn a profit. Last month, the General Accountability Office (GAO) reported that, through June 12, 2009, the government had received $6.2 billion in dividend payments. The original TARP legislation required that money made from the program “shall be paid into the general fund of the Treasury for reduction of the public debt.”

Frank, however, wants to spend the money before it can be used to pay down anything. First, the “TARP for Main Street” proposal would take $1 billion “from dividends paid by financial institutions that have received financial assistance provided under…the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act” and apply it to a trust fund that Frank has long wanted to create for low-income rental housing. (The measure, unfunded, was part of last year’s bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.) Next, Frank would take $1.5 billion from TARP dividends for a so-called “neighborhood stabilization” fund. Republican critics have charged that both measures might allow federal dollars to be distributed to activist groups like the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now, or ACORN.

The “TARP for Main Street” bill would also spend $2 billion, apparently from remaining TARP funds, to subsidize people who are delinquent on their mortgages, and another $2 billion to “stabilize multifamily properties that are in default or foreclosure.”

Oh, BTW folks, you may want to keep an eye out for the House and Senate voting on H.R. 1966 which is in the House.  This bill will impact each and every one of us when making comments about other posters, elected officials, et al:

"H.R. 1966 To amend title 18, United States Code, with respect to cyberbullying. a) Whoever transmits in interstate or foreign commerce any communication, with the intent to coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to a person, using electronic means to support severe, repeated, and hostile behavior, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both........."

I say give it back to the people whom the government got it from the Tax Payer. Not one more penny to the Non-Taxpayer deadbeats.

According to news reports, two new Senate bills -- S. 773 and S. 778 -- "would grant the White House sweeping new powers to access private online data, regulate the cybersecurity industry and even shut down Internet traffic during a declared 'cyber emergency.'"

These two new bills are both part of what's being called the "Cybersecurity Act of 2009."The Act would create a new bureaucracy, the "Office of the National Cybersecurity Advisor,"which would be charged with "defending the country from cyber attack"... and would report directly to Barack Obama.

But that's not all it would do: it would also grant the Secretary of Commerce access to all privately owned information networks deemed to be "critical"to the nation's infrastructure, "without regard to any provision of law, regulation, rule or policy restricting such access."

Did you read that? The Secretary of Commerce, reporting directly to Mr. Obama, would be able to snoop through ANYTHING connected to the Internet that a President decides is "critical"to look at. And it doesn't matter what the law says -- they get to do this whenever and wherever a President wants them to.

Talk about UNCONSTITUTIONAL! We MUST NOT let Barack Obama's cronies in Congress get away with this!
