SBUX is fresher, more consistent and doesn't taste like french fries.
fresher? there is a reason the industry calls it CHARbucks. it's way over roasted...
they start with good beans then ruin them
you are right about the french fries, it really tastes like ditch water
I don't think so. I like the taste of their coffee. It's better then 7-11. And beside it's alot cheaper theb SBUX.
i told my friends mcdonalds coffee was better then starbucks 10 months before consumer reports said that mcdonalds had a tastier coffee then starbucks. don s
Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla has the best taste and price for value. And what's with the cardboard sleeves at Starbucks ? What a waste of paper. Can't handle a warm cup=pussy.
Warm cup?! Starbucks hands it out at just below boiling. I buy it when I get to work and leave it in the cabinet until lunch and it still burns out every taste bud! They need to sell it with oven mits.
I like the paper as grip, sometimes it is a little to hot so I wait til I get to work and sip the Mocha which lasts til 10am. If it is to hot to hold do not drink it.
I can't imagine enjoying a quiet latte at McD's with all the kids and teens using it as a hang-out. I prefer my local coffee place, Cafe Kili.
It depends on how busy the place is and the time of day. Any coffee sitting too long gets bitter. The intra-day variability is easiest controlled at my house. Come on over!
McD's latte tastes like poo. I'd go back to Starbucks anyday...
Being from Maine and not caring a hoot about what's "trendy" I buy my coffe for it's flavor and consistancy. I am not a McDonalds person, don't eat there at all as a general rule. That being said, McDonalds Newman's Own coffe from Green Mountain Coffee beats Starbucks and DD hands down, time and time again. Tim Hortons coffee taste like dishwater, and every time I try Starbucks coffee I think they should change their name to Tarbucks; their coffe tastes like it was filtered through some old asphalt!
Have you seen the people who work at McDonalds?!? They cant even make a humburger right most of the time. If I'm going to pay money for an espresso beverage, I'll pay the extra .50 for a quality drink at starbucks. thank you. (stop being cheap!)
not about being cheap it's about starbuck over roasting their beans..yuck!
Have you ever been inside McDonalds or SB? People don't make the coffee - they open a pre-packaged packet of cofee, pour it in the machine, press a few buttons and the machine makes the coffee. Taste will depend on brew time, temp of the water, type of coffee, and possibly, the machine itself, and method of making the coffee. At McDonalds and SB - all they do it put the coffee in the machine and press the buttons and off they go.
Are talking coffee (drip)? I get Mochas and I would not want McD's using some warmed or heated vat of Mocha and putting some whipped cream on it. I want a freashly steamed milk and expresso/chocolate and sometimes I like an extra shot. It takes time to do that.
Peets Coffee is the best from the East to the West...if you need a pick up there is nothing better.
What about Caribou Coffee? They are strong competition for Starbucks. The service, atmosphere and products are great!
Yes, I love Caribou Coffee - dislike Sbucks as too bitter. Another great coffee in the northeast and Canada is Tim Horton's - I buy and brew it at home for an excellent cup!
Peet's Coffee - beats all the rest IMO. I purchase it via the internet, they roast it, seal it and mail it to me in the same day. Three days later I have my still-fresh coffee beans - for the same price as Starbucks beans.
I do think that Mc D's has better coffee than Starbucks, if I have to get it from a chain store. Starbucks tastes burnt.
I like Peet's, also. Starbucks if I am out, and have recently discovered as a close second to the others, Terra Vida.
Starbucks is good as long as they do not mix the coffee types when they are out of one - caught them twice doing this to me.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am a coffee SNOB! Ha, ha.
I grind my own beans everymorning and I admit the first cup out of the pot is golden! That being said, I order beans from LION coffee in Hawaii, or else I buy beans from Caribou Coffee, or I pick up the big bag o' Starbucks beans at Costco.I have purchased Peets Beans too. They are stellar. I also buy Dean's Beans once in a while. They are organic, free trade, and ethically a fantastic company.
If I am going out for a joe, it will most likely be Caribou, or Dunn Bros. Both Minnesota companies.
McDonald's Coffee? Never. They can't get it together, for my taste. Their lattes are frighteningly sweet with some scary syrup and their regular coffee tastes like Church basement coffee. Brown color crayon water swill. Yuck!
